Can Dogs Eat Paprika?

Yes, dogs can technically eat Paprika, but don’t like to. Generally, small amounts cause nasal irritation and larger amounts lead to gastrointestinal irritation.

Spicy foods should not be consumed by dogs, as they cannot digest them well. Sweet Paprika does not cause the same reaction as hot paprika, but should still be avoided. Hot paprika ingested in larger quantities causes indigestion, diarrhea, and vomiting.

If your dog consumes a small or large amount of paprika, ensure they have access to fresh water. Monitor any symptoms, but it is not a huge cause for concern.
